Wu-Tang Clan ain't nothin' to f*ck with!

Wow, RZA is one of my favorite Hip-Hop producers. I wasn't looking forward to this series at first, but since the RZA is gonna be involved, I'm kind of interested in what he brings to the series.

Yeah, man. And with him doing the soundtrack, there's sure to be some appearances from other Wu-Tang Clan members! But, what's Afro Samurai like? I've never heard of it...

Afro Samurai just got a whole lot better. Sam "Bad Motherf***er" Jackson + swords + RZA = one hell of a good show.

If thats all that got you into looking forward to seeing the show, then I, in my humble opinion, think you're priorities are out of place.

As soon as I saw Samuel "And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee" Jacksons name on this, I was stoked.

I also heard about the Live Action movie for this, of which Mr. Jackson is also set to star in as the title character.

I am indeed looking forward to this, as I often wonder what a Samurai movie would be like if made in America.

Please note, I have chosen to ignore Kill Bill as a Samurai film, as it mostly revolves around a broad generalization of violence in its many forms, not just swordsmanship.

This might end up being the best anime ever if some of the other Wu-Tang members get involved. Ghostface should get involved and bring MF Doom onboard. Now that would be totally perfect. Plus, MF Doom has voice acting experience as Sherman the giraffe in Perfect Hair Forever.

I'm not saying that the soundtrack was a priority to me...
What I meant to say was that now I have more interest in the show, as before this piece of news, I had virtually no interest whatsoever.

This is some cool news. As a fan of some of his work in Kill Bill and Transporter 2 (And of course, Bobby Digital) I'm a bit more interested to see how this turns out.

Oh man this looks to be a sweet show!

I can't believe they got Samuel Jackson! That guy is soooo badass! I rarely watch dubs but this will probably worth it

I've never read the manga. What sort of style will we be expecting? Ultra serious action-gore packed anime with hints of hip-hop culture? Or comedic action anime?

Clean up on isle 3...

Just another reason to watch. I always wanted to see a black samurai as a main character. Next a Mexican, and then they can flip a coin with the rest of the races.

C.R.E.A.M. is perfect in the feudal era. Wasn't the RZA an actor in the movie "Derailed"?

Samuel "Do They Speak English In What?" Jackson. I'm sorry, I just had to since everyone else was doing it. Now follow me to the bridge!!...

The RZA needs to get his priorities straight. If the next few big Wu albums like Cuban Linx II aren't shit, its going to be the final nail in the Wu coffin. I'm speaking this from the perspective of a hip hop fan. He needs to work on fine tuning beats for Wu-MC albums not anime. The Wu era kind of hit some decent ass turbulance in the late 90's it has never recovered from, and I think the RZA and his arrogance are partly to blame.

This is really OT, but in the current world of poppy hip-hop, and the relative extinction of gangsta rap, are the Wu even relevant?

Today's (arguably) biggest rappers Kanye and Nelly are doing duets with country stars and boy-bands. I think the era of the Wu is over. Heck, it was practically over after Biggy and Pac died. Jay-Z was the only real star, but we all know he was the biggest biter this side of Nas, and now that he's gone, it's over.

Besides, I think the different members of the Wu are much better out on their own. I'd rather see a new Meth & Red or Ghostface disk than another full Wu album.

[OT] And that's why most of us listen to "underground"... atleast most of the people that I know who like rap do. I still bump Wu-Tang. I feel like I'm getting old by saying that those songs had meaning and todays songs are just plain stupid... "I was getting some head, ge-ge-getting some head"... case and point. I never liked Jay-Z anyways. I miss Gangster Rap. Mack 10, Ice Cube, and Snoop Dogg's latest stuff is that radio shit we listen everyday. I'm just waiting for WC, for those of you who don't know; he invented the C-Walk... atleast I think I remember it was him.

I also wish gangster rap came back. I find TI to be pretty gangster though, although he does have a certain hip hop flair to him. I miss NWA for sure.

Glad to be back in the boards, I'm finally freeing up some time at my marketing job to cruise around the boards.
