Has anyone here but me seen it. ever since i saw the comercial 3 months ago i knew it was going to kick ass, and i was right except from first glance you would'nt suspect it was a set in the present. It;s a great first ep and the rest are deffinatly gonna be great. What else can we expect from the people who brought us YU-GI-OH

I saw the episode this morning....it was OK. I don't know how different it was from the original Japanese episode, but it was a LOT of voiceover talking. I know that it's the first episode which is usually a "set up the story" episode, but it wasn't anything amazing.

Not sure how the anime story goes, but by the manga nothing really exciting happens until Ren/Len shows up. Up until then it's basicly filler and characterization.
As for the show itself, I'm not really disapointed in the changes. "Morty" may not be the best name change, but it seems to work for him. Ryu being changed to Rio actually seems to fit well. Sure it's japan, but giving him a spanish accent and a spanish name seems to fit him well. All of the voices seem to work for the characters, maybe not what i'd have chosen, but they seem to match up well enough, though Ryu's voice is exactly what I pictured, just without the accent.
