I'd like to buy them, but it seems they don't sell them anymore. Sure you can find them at Amazon.com, but those are over-priced and they are used (they say "used and new", but they're still used). And I suspect they can be pirated, because I saw a really cheap package that had all 3 slayers series all in one. So what I want to know is, do they re-release these from time to time where I can buy them brand new and original straight from the source?

I've only ever seen the first slayers series, which I downloaded. I do want to buy it though, but it seems the company just stopped making the DVDs or something. Can't find them original anywhere.

Slayers original distributor (Central Park Media) lost their license for the show last year. FUNimation picked it up, and now we're waiting for FUNimation to get the materials they want to re-release the show in better quality than the originals.
You just need to be more patient.

Oh ok, I didn't know about that. I did visit Central Park Media looking to see if they sold it, with no result. Now I know why. Anyway, that sounds really cool, I'll definitely get them higher quality. Thanks for the info, and quick reply Smile

Regarding Slayers...

The quality is expected to be better, but that's also causing most of the delay as Funimation is currently waiting on better source material to work from (or so the news grapevine is saying). Personally, I really enjoyed Slayers and I hope they can improve the visual quality a lot. The last set of DVD's looked a lot like the VHS versions that came before them with hard subtitles on the opening/ending and rather soft visuals in general. The show is a classic in my view, and I hope they do it justice. I'm slowly getting familiar with Funimation's other products and so far they seem okay to me.
