I know that many people were asking about the GITS:SAC boxset, so Manga was listening I guess....I don't remember seeing a new article on this, but anyways Halloween (October 31) GITS:SAC boxsetis to be released. SRP is 99.98 dollars, however Rightstuf has it for 89. That said until next Sunday there is a 40% off sale on Manga items, so you can get the series for basically a little over 50 dollars, and if you gotanime membership there even a better deal.
Till next time,

Delta Kiral

Man, I just mistyped the url and got a "hot anime chixx" website.. Shocked Yikes.

I just want a nice slipcase for all those fancy tin boxes I got with the second gig. Although in terms of the argument going on up in Talkback, this looks like a reasonable wait for the boxset for those of us who bought the first season one by one. And then the fancy collector tin for the whole season.

Thanks for the heads up, that is a really sweet deal. I wish i knew what this will look like and have on it. I looked on there own website and nothing. In otherwords rightstuf have more info than Manga does.

Hmmm, eat well, for the next month or buy DVDs, such a hard choice. Cool anyway, cool heads-up.

edit:
If you are a member and do it this way, you will beat DDD by 14 dollars.

My friends tin is also dented...

I would so be all over this, but I'm looking forward to buying the movies/compilation. I already have the series burnt so I can't say I care much for the whole series.

Yeah it sucks stupid tin.......also The first season compilation will be a good thing. I think the laughing man can be told without (however I enjoy the whole season) standalone episodes. That said I believe the Individual 11 will be lacking in depth in comparison to the season.....

I've heard many say that the individual 11 episodes, were those called "dividual" or "dual"?, were all linked with the individual/stand-alone episodes. But I saw the episode were Togusa goes to court and I don't remember that one having anything to do with the rest of the episodes. I haven't seen 2nd Gig because I started working when they began airing on [as]. If I could get a similar deal on the second season when/if it comeds out, I might get that instead of the compilation.

Yeah that episode with Togusa is part of a DUAL episode. Although it's a standalone episode, often time the characters will mention back to that standalone episode because they often deal with government/policies of Japan.

For more information I turn the stage over to coolerimmortal who explain this to me originally in this thread.

Coolerimmortal wrote:
Dividual Episodes= Semi-Standalone episodes. In 2nd GIG, every episode is related to the main story. You have to see them all, in order. However, the Dividual episodes feature self-contained stories that contribute to the overall plot.

Individual Episodes= Complex episodes. By far the most essential.

Dual Episodes= Semi-Standalone episodes. Like Dividual episodes, they feature self-contained storylines. However, they focus on the political relationships of the show, specifically between Section 9 and the rest of the government.

That said I wanted to make something clear, I love the SAC universe. I love both season thus far, and I even though the first season could be told just through the complex episodes, the standalone episodes make the world (of SAC) so much more enjoyable.

Just placed my preorder for the set. It's a shame though that the 40 percent off sale applies only to the MSRP and not the rightstuff price (10 dollars cheaper) oh well...it only made a few dollars difference. With my got anime membership it'll still end up being less than 60 dollars Smile
