Hm, looking back at the manga, it's gonna be quite some time before Marika shows up, won't it? I wouldn't mind if the adaptation was unfaithful in that regard...

Well they covered about 14 chapters in 6 episodes and spoiler[she appears in chapter 33. If they skip some of the fillers, then she should appear by ep 11/12.] Why don't you like spoiler[aggressive girls? You also disliked Nyaruko.]

Nyaruko is a very extreme case. She's way too excessive. I'm actually quite fond of Marika, especially in light of recent chapters. My comment was made in the hopes she'd show up sooner.

Anyone know the episode # for this series? I noticed MAL changed it back to unknown duration from its previous 11 episodes.

Actually my main problem with Nyaruko is more that I know her bad behaviour will eventually be rewarded without her growing or changing at all.

This is a big problem with tsunderes in general. They physically abuse the object of their affections, yet she'll win their love anyways. A good tsundere will eventually mellow out a bit, but I've seen plenty that remain consistently abusive and still come out on top.

Thankfully Chitoge is a good tsundere. Here we see how she makes an honest effort to thank Raku, even if it doesn't work out so well. Given time I'm sure she'll actually come to enjoy his company. Still, I'm more in the Kosaki camp because she's a genuine sweetheart who'd never lash out because of silly things.

Episode 6

That end *sniff* why do I smell a spoiler[trap] of some sort? I just can't tell quite yet whether it is a spoiler[common trap] or spoiler[reverse trap]. Regardless it is a spoiler[new love interest].

Lol, so Tsugumi is a rspoiler[everse trap. Ha, that was kinda obvious after the pool scene. Raku calling her 'cute' definitely triggered a flag there from my viewpoint there.]

No spoiler[Onodera this episode but I got a feeling the title "rival" wasn't met for Raku after that conclusion.]

Too bad that wasn't much of a twist consiering Tsugumi's been featured in all the promo images with the other heroines. Heck, I'm always seeing the ad for the simulcast at the top of ANN.

Sigh. I'm really not enjoying this storyline anymore. It was cool when only Raku had a childhood promise with the heavily implied Onodera, but now Kirisaki also has a childhood promise. LAME! The reason I enjoyed this series was because the contrast I saw where Onodera represented the past and Kirisaki represented the future. I thought it was nice the Raku would eventually have to decide if he would hold on to the past and promise he made with Onodera, or let it go and move forward with the left-fielder Kirisaki.

Of course, these complaints are only valid if Kirisaki and Raku are actually the ones that made the promise instead of Onodera and Raku.

All I hear is Sei.

I enjoy Nisekoi the most when it's just silly episodic stories. Something I watch for pure entertainment value rather than to see how the plot progresses.

I'm glad to hear that. Three of my favourite plot twists are "it's NOT the half-sister!?", "it's NOT the violent tsundere loli?" or "it's NOT the childhood friend!?"

Seriously, spoiler[Shuffle may not have been amazing but when Rin said "Forget you, childhood friend. You're a $#%ing psycho. I'm going for the girl who's not even one of your two major rivals!"] it blew my mind. It morphed my soul. I knew... I knew that there was hope. That somewhere in Japan there were writers who say "let's spice this up!"

spoiler[Yes rather that go for the childhood friend or any of the major rivals, he picks the girl who used to greet him by coming from behind and kicking him in the back. ] Nice choice there.
