This manga sounds sweet. I'll have to follow this piece of news to see if the film will be anime or live-action.

Sweet! I really want this manga to come out over here despite never reading it for one reason: Akimi Yoshida. Having read and adored the hell out of Banana Fish, yep, I want it toooo bad (and Yasha too, and anything, I just wanna read more of her manga)

I really want it to be animated, but my guess is live action.

I'd totally buy the manga if it came over. I haven't read Banana Fish (or this) but I recognize the authorial pedigree.

In Japan, a divorce usually means complete separation between the child and the leaving parent. There's no shared parenting.
