So they're creating their own subs? Will they be awful?

How about Funi put more initiative into having a more finalized release date for 3.3?

At least they are getting somewhere I guess? I've been dying for this to come on to home video for so long now it seems. But I'm curious to see the changes in subs from the theatrical screening although it's not like I have the original theatrical release script memorized, so it might be hard to tell the difference.

When a company goes above and beyond to deliver the best product to their audience, I too like to complain. |

lol seen this first day of fansub release. It's been a very long time already.
I haven't purchased the Japanese BDs yet. There's still the fourth movie and I want to read the manga first. The movies seem to be jumping between each other with no concrete solid plot (build up, developing characters, etc). |

I like how they're making it sound like they're the ones that Are trying to deliver a quality product. When it's known that the director hated the original dub and had them redo it

Agreed. I've loved these movies so far but I pre-ordered 3.33 in November of last year. It's getting pretty depressing thinking about it. |

What a coincidences, me as well. Who would have thunk it. Still I can't believe what asses the Japanese companies are. Funimation pays the licensing fees and is forces to hold off on the release over a year because the Japanese company wants to try their hand at making English Subtitles. Dick more Japan, dick more. They should've told him that after the terrible job he did on The Wind Rises, he has no right to complain. |

One step closer to release. I wish Funi would be upfront with why it was delayed for this long.

Well either this is going to be good or the subtitles could go bad (assuming that nobody checked the subtitle for spelling, grammar mistakes, and engrish). Hopefully Funimation make sure the subtitles is passable.

I really doubt they're at liberty to say much more than they already have. |

The Evangelion 3.33 Hong Kong Blu-ray with English Subtitles for just $32.99 is starting to look quite tempting. I really would prefer to wait and buy Funimation's release with the English dub, but I'm getting tired of waiting. Hurry it up or you will probably lose a sale from me.
