The ones from Masterpiece to Awful to Excellent.
Do they come from the actual in-depth written reviews, or is it simply a "you've seen it click here for the rating"? |

It's a poll based on the fact that you've watched it. Quite frankly, I'm not a big fan of the user ratings as it does not reflect the viewer's actual vote (come on - who'd actually call Pilot Candidate a masterpiece?). Some use the ratings in an attempt to tarnish the reputation of certain highly-acclaimed titles (How can Battle Royale be bad?). That's just my opinion, though. |

It's not supposed to be just a poll. It's a compilation of people's personal MyAnime lists. But because it's displayed in the encyc, there are people who just create a MyAnime listing in order to vote for a title and boost or lower it. It doesn't really work because those voters are filtered out when the overall rating is calculated. But it does change the vote graph, so I think I'm going to change that graph to actually reflect the values attributed to votes.
