Great news. I follow the manga for this and there is enough material for a full cour TV adaptation, which I am hoping so.
Can't wait to hear more info about this in the future

I read it a bit a few years back, I thought it was nice, overall. Depending on the cast & staff, I might watch this.

Drifters has always been a manga I take note of when I see a chapter released but never bothered actually reading it. May have to change that soon, see how excited I should be for the anime.

I didn't think it would happen, but it's great news. Unfortunately it's probably going to go the way of the first Hellsing adaptation because the source material isn't complete and they might have to rush things.

Each of Hirano's chapters is also slightly longer than the average shonen jump series, but he's not prolific and had the same problem with Hellsing during its magazine run.

I've been regularly visiting this website for years, but I've been waiting for Drifters to become an anime for much longer!
On the day my new favorite anime ends [Death Parade], Drifters is announced to become an anime! I hope it's animated by Madhouse and airs summer or fall of this year, but nonetheless definitely looking forward to this. |

Ohhh man, add this to the list of things I never thought were going to get animated but totally are.
I just hope it won't suffer the same production problems Hellsing Ultimate did. |

An OVA release would be the best way to adapt this, better production values and more time to let the manga get ahead of the anime.
Ultimate did not have any production problems. |

Not quality wise, but there were multiple staff changes and studios changing hands according to the review for vol. IX & X. |

Hope it's an OVA series. THe Hellsing Ultimate OVAs were fantastic. No filler ending pl0x.

I'm pretty sure that was on purpose, the OVAs were divided between different studios not just 9&10 |

I Think MADHOUSE SHOULD BE DO GREAT ADAPTATION!!!! Also GOOD CAST THE CHARACTERS WOULD BE Keiji Fujiwara As Toshizou Hijikata, Ami Koshimizu As Yoichi Nasu no Suketaka, Park Romi As Jeanne d'Arc, Asami Seto As Olmine, Kappei Yamaguchi As Naoshi Kanno.
