If anyone cares to know there is going to be a Bleach Box Set this November. Its not on Viz's site yet but at my comic shop while looking in this comic catalog it was in there. The price will be $89.99 but I don't know how many episodes. I am guessing it will be up to DVD 6 because DVD 7 also comes out in November. Just thought I would share Smile

It's on Right Stuf's site, and will be episodes 1-20, so that's disc 5.

Yes, it will be volumes 1-5. They are simply boxing the story arcs, so all of the DVDs with "The Substitute" will make up the first set, and the next 5 volumes (with whatever subtitle Viz uses for it) will make up the next set and so on.

I noticed this on TRSI a little while back. I'm glad, becuase I've been holding out for Viz to release Bleach box sets (since they have been releasing Naruto box sets) to save cash since this series is so damn long.

I just wanted to say that if you want the boxset you should not wait too long because:

Bleach Boxset 1 (5-Disc / Eps. 1-20) is actually a limited edition release. The change was listed by AAA Anime. I also verified it with someone at Viz Media. This someone also noted that at the moment there are no announcements regarding the regular edition release, but it doesn't mean that there won't be one in the future.

Key Information:
    [li]Limited Edition - only 15K print run!
[li]Special collector's item "Chain of Fate" Wallet Chain included!
[li]Packagin type is likely to be Digipack!

I took that on an another forum.

I actually allready have the singles so... but I do not know how fast 15 000 boxsets LE will be sold.

Pre-ordered it for about $47 at The Right Stuf when they had their Viz sale going on. I'm just going to get all long series (52+ episodes) that I want in box sets like this from now on. I can never keep up with the singles while trying to get other series as well.

Interesting. What forum did you get that from? Although it is listed right there on AAA site.

This kinda makes me wish I would have pre-ordered this back when RS had a Viz sale. I was gonna wait a little to get this since, well it's Bleach, it not going OoP. But I didn't realize they were doing two different editions, with this one being limited. I wonder if the regular editions will have more episode counts, or if it will just be the same, only much later.

15k should last a little while. But I wonder if that number includes the number that Best Buy will get, who often gets special versions with different SKUs just for them. If not, you would figure that Best Buy would at least order three per store. With aprox. 900 stores in the US and Canada, that takes care of 2700 of them right off the bat not factering in re-orders, and other stores that sell popular anime. So in less they have an amazing sale like they did with GitS:SSS LE, that takes all of those off the table. Least for me, I like my price point to be at least $0.14.

But then again this throws a wrench at that idea. Confused

Edit:
Changed price point typo

I saw the same thing posted on AoD, but if its from a retailer, it could be posted in a lot of different forums. But I would still WAG that he saw it at AoD.
