The thing about Gil in F/GO is wrong though. There's only one type of Gil (unlike Arturia who has 3 versions) |
Maybe she's going off of spoilers and magazine entries?
Proto-Gil's in the data, and apparently Caster Gil is coming later down the line. Lord know how they'll pull off the latter, though. Maybe he gets the Universal Language?

Fate/Grand Order better get the best, most famous and well known Rider in there; Santa freakin' Claus. He would be nigh unstoppable!!

well it was a good series when it showed on Adult Swim. and personally an ok shortcut when it comes to people that doesnt want to read those long ass books of alexander.
though it is the ultimate irony. he dies in Babylon and in F/Z he gets killed by the king of Babylon aka the king of kings.
though you cant necessarily call him the king of kings that considering that he got owned by saber and her Avalon Noble Fantasm in the fate route.
and then went completely psycho in the UBW only to get owned by a tag team of shiro & archer which of course let to multiple of theories of his origins before being rescued in the end of F/Z.
and considering the writer haven't mentioned anything about what happened to him in the heaven's feel route, his defeat in heaven's feel have to be even more humiliating than getting beat by a master in UBW

Strange Fake s weird, dude.
The wolf/dog was being bred as some kind of mana pool/catalyst, but because of how much his creator mistreated it, it tried escaping. As the creator tried killing him, it plead for help to the world, and ended up summoning Enkidu, who is able to communicate with animals. Why he's a Lancer though I have no idea, other than the class simply being available at the time

Gil is the King of Heroes not King of Kings. And I think that title is fair considering even though Saber wins in Fate, the blow came from Gil's own sword [being reflected].

I don't know what you mean about theories of his origins. It was all made clear in F/SN.

actually it was the writer who called him king of kings. was taking it from her quote. "It's time for the main event. The “mysterious blond man,” the King of Kings, the man who makes a mongrel out of us all."
and while you do have a point about his own sword being reflected, still doesnt change the fact he finally lost one. and in the fate route he looked kinda glad it was to saber which however is quite different in the UBW route.

actually i was talking about the theories fans are making ofShiro's origins. I was not talking about Gil's since every Fate fanatic knows that much.

| Quote: | | Kinoku Nasu supposedly chose Gilgamesh as the “strongest hero” because it was the oldest legend that he could find. |
If he was looking for the oldest legend, I'm surprised he didn't run with Atrahasis. That was a good bit older, and was the source for Tablet XI in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

What's the source of the picture used for this on the homepage? Looks like a badass wallpaper.

The copy of Atrahasis that we still have is older than the copy of the Epic of Gilgamesh we have, but the legend itself is older than Atrahasis. The historical Gilgamesh supposedly ruled between 2800 and 2500 BC, while Atrahasis (at least the copy that still exists) is from some time in the reign of Ammi-Saduqa, who ruled around 1000 years after that.

Regardless, you used it too instead of correcting her.
Besides, Gil's full title is 人類最古の英雄王 (jinrui saiko no eiyuuou) and that doesn't at all imply he is the strongest. In fact, it basically implies there could be more than one 'king of heroes'. So him losing, really because of stupid choices regardless of which F/SN path, doesn't disqualify him.

also, gilgamesh is a very well known myth, unlike atrahasis.
