from the looks of it seems like either no1 likes this anime or hasn't heard of it yet...i hope its the latter because this anime is really really nice.Rated it very good because the only bad side of it is the little cliche in the storyline-a normal guy who cant fend for himself finds some1 he wants to protect and uses it as motivation to become stronger and fight his enemies-yea...heard of it..alot...but still its nice because i really really luvv the all the figting scenes...most of which are extreamly detailed and realistic for one....u dont get energy shots comming out of palms or some kinda super powerful 100 combi atk....the only non realistic parts would be the masters whom are...well...kinda unrealistic...but as far as fighting goes...it imitates how a real lief martial artist would handle himself in combat. The names of the technique is also real.Noting like"kamihamiha!!" or "Spirit Gun!!" or anyting like tat. They are real life techniques used in real life. And the way this anime displays it is really cool ^^.Also the comedy scenes are really priceless too...the way some characters, who are usually serious, make a fool of themselves is jus so funny ^^.Fanservice is somewat limited so theres uve got a reason to watch it other than guilty pleasure. There is also some romance bit as well so in conclusion.very nice and very cool ^^. Any comments? Anime hyper

This is one of those titles that seems like it might be good, but nothing I've heard or seen about it has really grabbed me enough to make time for it. However, I recently saw all of the stuff Capcom is doing for the series (games, figures, and whatnot) and I have to admit that I'm a bit more curious. I'm probably going to give the first couple episodes a shot soon.

ah Kenichi! Definitely one of the funnier shows I've seen in a while and one I look forward to watching when the episodes come out. Definitely the best thing about the show is Kenichi's masters who provide a bulk of the show's humor. And among them the best one is definitely Apachai who doesn't know the meaning of holding back.

I've been curious to check this out myself. Many people have compared this series to the likes of Hajime no Ippo, which I love and is my 2nd favorite shounen series only to Kenshin. On top of that, Kenichi also stars my 2nd favorite male seiyuu, Tomokazu Seki. The only thing that irks me is that this series is produced by TMS Entertainment, who's doing a horrible injustice to D.Gray-man right now in terms of writing and animation.

However, looking at the production credits now and seeing that the screenplay is done by Yoshiyuki Suga, who also did the screenplay for Kenshin and is currently doing the storyboard for One Piece, it might not be so bad after all... OMG, and it has the art director from both Kenshin and Maria-sama ga Miteru, too Shocked? I'm definitely going to give this a look!

I love Kenichi!!!! At first I thought Kenichi was sort of annoying, but then futher along into the anime he grew on me. It's hilarious and I love all the characters in the anime, even Nījima Haruo (eeek).
I have watched 44 ep. Only 6 more episodes left. It will be sad when this anime ends.

I would say that earlier in the series this comparison might be a correct one because there's lots of humor and lots of training and stuff but that's as far as it goes. The humor and the training stuff don't go away but they take a slight backseat to spoiler[fighting some dumb fighting organization]. The show doesn't become bad for it, it's just another aspect that's introduced. Kenichi must train to spoiler[defeat one member after another of this organization] and yeah... the show doesn't lose it's charm but I was a bit dissapointed with how it turned out.

I really love Kenichi. It's a fighting series, but one with a lot more focus on the actual mechanics of the martial arts than on "guts" and fireballs. Not that watching it really teaches you much about real fighting, but it's interesting and funny. It's more of a "sports" anime than the typical combat anime, with the sport being mixed martial arts. Wink

And cheesecake.

It's a no-frills fun-fest, especially for fighting anime lovers and those who don't mind some mindless entertainment here and there.

Don't get me wrong: I like the anime as well. Heck, I even have up to volume 24 for the manga. The concept certainly isn't new, but the characters are interesting. The animation quality disappoints, though, but that's understandable since there wasn't much hype about it.

For me this anime is really great, i just love how they added the comdey into the series and the characters are just awesome, specialy Apachi. The drawings are really funny to which gives a much funnier look.

I really hope i could find animes which are similar to this, mostly for the comedy parts.

I'm of the opinion that this anime is greatly underrated - while yes, it has a lot of 'generic' shonen aspects, the humor has really begun to get top notch as the show progresses, and the characters, and the martial arts, are very interesting. It really surprises me that it's so.. unmentioned - it seems like something that by it's nature should be popular.

I'm also worried that it's ending so soon, without a true conclusion - yes, maybe spoiler[Ragnarok might be ended with this, however merely the defeat of Odin] doesn't mark a satisfying end to Kenichi's rise to strength for me - chances are the Saint of Fists isn't going to be even fought at all, and all the backstories for the masters are left almost completely blank.. I'd also feel more satisfied if he reached a level slightly better than being able to be beaten by one of his masters with one finger. Sigh.

The thing I kinda like about this one is that it IS Kenichi's story. The backgrounds of the masters really don't matter to it, and the Saint of Fists isn't his enemy, it's about Kenichi taking out the people that threaten him and his friends. I don't think he needs to ever become infinitely strong for that, and if he does ever rise to the level where he could take on his masters, I'd think it would take years of training to get there.

Yeah, it IS Kenichi's story, but as of now, we know more about the people Kenichi is fighting, than the ones actually training him. And about him losing to his masters, it's more that he still has that.. 'pathetic' feel to him. He still can't even get a hit in on Miu, and he certainly isn't 'histories greatest', yet - I'm guessing at some point in the manga, if not already, his amagalation of all their training will allow him to actually be more than just a punching bag for his masters, if not almost an equal, or an equal.. Shounen can go on for a long time.

I have seen LOTS of anime.. and lately was lacking something.. but then came Kenichi, at the beginning i wasn't so convinced.. but as the show went on.. i began to love it. It is really funny and entretaining.. and also has it's serious moments. The Masters are a story on their own (I specially Love Apachai).

I saw the whole 50 eps. ... but feel that the end was lacking (i wont say why, nor will i say more about it).

Will there be a continuation?? I really hope so!!
