They're making a hardcover Naruto Boxset- will Viz be doing the same for Bleach?

Naruto's is split at the perfect moment, so the whole box thing kinda fits, but I wonder what they would Bleach. I would like to see a box for the Bleach manga before I pick up the volumes again, but I'm not sure if it would be worth it for the amount I already have (13 volumes). Yes, I'm too far behind in the releases, and too lazy to "catch up" when I'm already having a tough time keeping up with the current series I'm following. What would motivate me to keep up with the releases is if I happened to magically "catch up." Wink If a box ever does show up, I'm sure someone would be willing to buy those 13 volumes from me as well. Anime smile + sweatdrop

Naruto was almost tailor made to be split at a certain point. Bleach has no time skip so it's a bit harder. The end of Soul Society would be a good spot and it'd be nice to have all the volumes conveniently packaged. Given that Bleach and Naruto often go pretty much hand in hand it isn't unreasonable to expect that they might do the same thing they did with Naruto.

Yeah...i've got the first 6 or so...and with Naruto I have none.
Maybe when they get to vol 25 or 30?

I'm pretty sure that with a release of only 5000 units the Naruto set is targeted squarely at Shonen Jump subscribers who aren't getting the chapters from the fall flood of volumes before they start serializing the arc after the time jump. Presumably ones that would want to be completists if they had to buy any volumes at all (like me - I ordered mine back in September).

Bleach is only just beginning its serialization in Shonen Jump (which is is going to slow it's rate of release way down). It seems like if they were going to do it that they would have already done so with a volume 1-20 set completing the soul society arc (SJ serialization began last month with the return from Soul Society). That might serve the purpose of getting the magazine readers current, but would also completely undermine the other purpose of getting those same readers to backfill the first 20 volumes at current retail prices after getting them hooked on the current arc.

Since they didn't (and haven't announced it for the future), I doubt that it is going to happen. In terms how "this thing affects that thing" there doesn't seem much motive for it.

Volume 30 is a now going to be few years (probably 3) away, so anything could happen.
