This looks like a fascinating title. The PV's that are out look promising. I like the look of the setting, the mood is interesting and I think it's going to be a fun ride. Plus the OST is being done by an amazing composer as an added bonus.

Happy Sentai Filmworks got this, since it means that Amazon probably helped them pay a lot of money to get the streaming rights.

Looking at the list from above, Amazon(and Sentai) are clearly going for the most interesting, best looking and most promising anime from the summer season, they have a good eye!
Now all that Amazon needs to do is get is Altair A Record of Battles and with that, they would have almost every good looking anime from summer on their platform.

Netflix has Kakegurui.

Crunchyroll and Funimation are getting the scraps, for once.

It doesn't say exclusive streaming for the U.S though, I wonder if that means they will stream them somewhere else or if they're avoiding that wording in order to avoid even more negative backlash. At the end of the day, Sentai Filmworks were driven in a corner by the CR and Funimation partnership and all they would get were the scraps no one wanted. Amazon is paying more money and Sentai are just doing business as usual. If more money goes to Japan, then I'm very happy, especially since an ANN post regarding the Noitamina partnership with Amazon said that there were rumors that the largest amount of money ever was getting paid for streaming rights for anime in the deal.

It won't.
Symphogear's had multiple attempts at overseas streams over the years and the quality's been all over the place regarding them. I think, if they try for an overseas release, it'd either be either CR or a whole bunch of different places. I just don't see them locking it into just solely Amazon Prime/Strike.

I mean, there was the short lived FuniNico thing of which Symphogear was a casualty of that not working out (it was on a huuuge delay.), nobody streamed G as it was airing and CR only picked the series up as GX was airing, getting the previous two as catalog titles.

It's been a mess.

The chances for Amazon taking Symphogear from CR after 3 seasons is very slim and a stupid move, that's like pulling New Game S2 from CR...... uproar will happen if that happens, they won't touch it for international

I've been lucky so far as I did not care about the first 5 but it appears my luck ran out. I just hope they don't licence Tenshi no 3P! but it seems like a Sentai show....

You mean one. CR's only got GX under their belt but they did pick up both G and the original as catalog titles. FuniNico streamed the original season, nobody streamed G and CR only simulcasted GX.

Y'know what? At this point, I'd rather just sit this whole season out. I don't know what the heck's going on anymore.

sigh What's on my backlog? Let's take a look...
