ISLAND (TV) Plot Summary: Urashima is an island far from the mainland. The people who live there lead carefree lives. But five years ago, the island's three great families suffered a series of misfortunes, and succumbed to suspicion. The people of the island cut off all contact with the mainland, and began a slow decline. One day, a young man named Setsuna washes ashore claiming to be a time-traveler and suffering from amnesia. He meets three local girls: Sara, Rinne, and Karen. Their meeting will change the course of the island's fate. |

Here, here! *jumps* i watched the first 3 Episodes. Whats it? An loli Harem Story? Some Hero falls in love with the spoiler[Vampir ] he's supposed to kill? Its not that bad, but i would seen at last some older Femme Fatale... or some interesting Male, erm, NPC xD

When only one girl is a loli (by age, she isn't loli either), and she is the least important one of the three, how is it a "loli harem"? It's just your typical slightly story focused harem VN adaptation. |

You blasphemer! You should know that age has nothing to do with a character being a loli, and by saying anything else you spit on the glory of Komoe Sensei and the likes of vampire loli. Actually, a question, do we actually have an age of the priestess, I guess she is going to get stacked in the future, but it is curious that she seemed to imply that she used to have powers. I have been watching this, but I have not known what I should really say about it. Like it might turn out okay, or crash and burn. So far it is has not crashed. |

I'm not a blasphemer, and I didn't say loli has anything to do with age. I even called Sara a loli, despite her age (16-17 throughout the game fyi). The other girls are just your average teen girls, and don't have characteristics that would make them loli by any stretch of the definition. |

Their ages are stated, their body type is that of your average anime teenager, so you can go and call whatever you want however you like, I'm just merely stating they are not in fact lolis, only Sara is what you would call, a "legal loli".
We are not doing a cabaret show. |

So here I am cruising along watching Island Ep8 like an idiot because I have to watch something other than MHA and Kitaro (and not Yuuna) this season and think "I'll check out what other fans have been saying, there's probably a thread in the forums". Turns out I was right but now I am thinking "what fans?" because even the stalwart few that started this thread have not bothered to say anything for almost a month. Does this qualify as "necro-posting"? (no mod dude, the show is still airing...) Anyway, all I can say is that the spoiler[time machine] reveal in this episode is just too convenient. Let's not bother explaining what's up with Boryushima, how or why that is there or the half-dozen mysteries set up so far or how Riine and Setsuna getting there isspoiler[ "all a dream"] OR IS IT?? I might watch to the bitter end and check back in toward the end (if I remember) to see if I was the only one watching.

You're not the only one watching. But I didn't really have anything to say, aside from maybe a few dumb jokes.

This show has been.... weird. I guess a few of the episodes were the end of routes with the other girls, that seemed to have a theme of faking out something serious, like what he is doing there or marrying one of them. And then this last arc it seems Rinne was his true love or something, and then what happened to her just feels like a gut punch, that I again have a hard time comparing this to some other shows. It is not one of the hard core VN anime, which could borderer porn, and it does not let itself be quite light enough to fit on the more fun lighter end. Making it a sort of uncomfortable viewing so far.

I don't think that the lack of posting really has anything to do with people not watching it, but rather I think that it's just that the number of people posting in the forums overall has decreased quite a bit.

Episode 9
Strange new title for the show as he seems to have ended up in the far future; "Never Island". Now it is a dystopia setting, wit some familiar faces. |

Episode 11
So he pretty much just went through the entire series, while doing things more efficiently. Although, a twist at the end, Rinne's mother, Kuon, is likely really the Rinne from the future that he was in love with. Although that does leave wonder if the present Rinne is his daughter, which makes some things kind of messy. |

Well it's Ep12 and here I'm back again, sort of like Setsuna. From my viewpoint, there are three measurable fans not including myself. It least I'll give the anime credit for tying up some loose ends without resorting to the awful "if you want to find what really happens next, get the VN on Steam" ending I thought might happen or the depressing "but Rinne met another man and fell in love with him before Setsuna returned..." version that was hinted. Strangely, I think the story was constructed better than Darling in the Franxx and was more satisfying, but since that was such a mess, that's not saying much. However the ruse that history is spoiler[completely cyclic] was both unexpected and lame as heck. If anything, it strikes me that anyone that saw the whole show has even less reason now to buy the VN than they had to begin with as the story is just not compelling enough to want to see what happens with Sara and the others (other than seeing "Setsuna" make out with adult Sara, she's one HOT Miko...).
