But will there be blood? Remember the original show had Frieza, Vegeta, and Piccolo bleeding like crazy from the wounds they got? Will this be bloodless to adhere to a low esrb rating? Probably. And I gotta say, the Budokai Tenkaichi games gave me an accurate enough story for a lifetime. The legacy of Goku games helped too.
Just means we gotta wait for gameplay. Would've rathered a One Piece game of the same style though...it only has some so so cannon and non cannon games and then the just ok musou games with skipped story content.

Yes if this game is equal parts Legacy of Goku and Budokai, I’ll be absolutely dying to get my hands on this. DBZ games have rarely never nailed the story in a way that the Storm games were able to. So I would like that to change with this installment.

Woooooo! A Dragon Ball Action-RPG? Most likely by CyberConnect2? All my Yes!
They are experienced with RPGs and they also know their stuff with anime graphics, cutscenes and storytelling, the naruto storm games are just fantastic!
I liked Xenoverse after some time to warm up with the fighting system, I skipped fighterz, because 2D-like fighters are just not for me, but an action rpg is something really refreshing for the franchise and if the story telling is done right and they don't mess up the fighting system, this could be the first dragon ball game since Raging Blast 2, I'm really hyped about!

None of the games even the ones that stayed in Japan were gory (largely because they skipped over the violent stuff)

I remember they had DBZ RPGs for the GBA so I'm curious to see what a modernized RPG game would be like.

I have mixed feelings on CyberConnect2 being involved with this. I did enjoy the few Naruto games I had on PSP and JoJo All Star Battle on PS3 (crappy online and campaign aside) but thought they did a terrible job with the latter series' Eyes of Heaven game and heard mixed things about the .hacks (and I own G.U. Last Recode but haven't gotten around to playing yet) so I'll just wait until I see gameplay footage before I think about buying yet another game covering the same Z story (which got tiring last gen during the horrendous Spike run of games).
