Easily the most questionable entry into the Tenchi multiverse (seeing how it has next to nothing to do with Tenchi on the surface), but I'm glad it finally got licensed, so good for Maiden Japan.

(And so the wait for Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge continues.)

Holy crap, very unexpected. This show was probably the first time Japanese producers acknowledged fansubs directly in their show while it was airing. While I discovered this show many years after it aired, it basically introduced me to the world of fansubs.

I specifically signed up just to make a post on this. This is my favorite anime of all time and I have been so super salty about it just cutting off on a cliffhanger. The reality is I'll probably never see a season 2, but I've even scoured the Japanese site through wayback machine. I finally feel like I have a tiny little bleak ray of hope.

I think Photon the Idiot Adventures would be more questionable with it's Tenchi ties since this show at least features Misao, who also appears in the Pretty Sammy universe, though I'm aware her role is completely different here. I never got to see this show, so I'm glad it's been licensed. Now we just need someone to rescue license Dual Parallel Trouble Adventure.

I kind of missed the boat on Tenchi, but at least I now know where that screenshot comes from. I'm interested in this release, and thanks to Maiden for the throwback.
