Unless one of their teammates is a Hunting Horn main and there's buffs being played throughout the movie, I won't be impressed.

Pleeeeease finally give us a proper trailer!
They finished shooting all scenes in 2018 and all they gave us were some stills from during filming during 2018 and 2019. Now in 2020 they gave us nothing for half a year and despite the movie sheduled to come out in 3 months, the only footage we have is a low quality recording of a leaked teaser trailer from mid 2019 :<

We're 3 months away from the movie debut and I have yet to see the actual monsters themselves. They have the ability to show stills of the same actor but not a single still of the monsters? This movie is called "Monster" Hunter, right?

There's diablos and rathalos in the teaser from 2019:

Could be of several reasons why.

Movie is so knowingly horrible that they don't want the press. Isn't the first time for this.

The monsters are part of the suspense and they don't want to spill the beans for the audience. We have to remember, this movie is for everyone, not just fans of the anime.

COVID 19 delays might be having them running at a mad dash to finish everything before anything is due. Tons of work to do, even after principal filming is done.

There are probably other reasons, I haven't thought up yet, like director's artistic license.

also fans of the games, not anime.

An animated Monster Hunter film titled “Legends of the Guild” is in the works.

What’s really worrisome about this movie on top of everything else is the $60M budget. Considering that a lot of that likely went towards getting the big names for star power, probably not a lot left for proper monster rendering. I doubt we will even see many monsters or get a lot of action till the last 30 minutes, and I’m not expecting a lot of variety either.

i still bet iots gonna be a flop.

you'll get people to watch it for the stars, but rating will be bad.

especially since the MHW hot moment is long past.

This is one of those projects where I just don't get the "why do this" behind it. Then I saw who was directing it. Makes much more sense. Hopefully it will at least be a decent summer popcorn action flick. I do love Tony Jaa. Even if he's watered down in Western produced movies compared to Asian produced ones.

This movie is 100% going to be bad.

Filmed ages ago yet still no trailer or even a picture of the monsters. It's going to be bad and might even go straight to VOD

The true monsters were humans all along.

I saw the budget and thought that maybe there are no monsters. At least on-screen. It's all off-screen and you'll see some claw or tail swipe at the hunters as they fight something that isn't there.

Well, it is starring Milla Jovovich. The Resident Evil movies have been made around the budget of this movie. If the Resident Evil movies can survive and be profitable with production budgets like this movie, then there is really no reason this movie can't do the same. Personally, I have always liked Milla Jovovich in her genre movies.
