I thought it was a Halloween themed anime, but it's just Pokemon.

Still looks good, gotta save it to Youtube.

Rie Matsumoto for the win.

The sleepy person with the coffee cup watching the credits is me during so many late-night anime binges.

Dat Red vs Hibiki battle was fire. Need more of that. Glad to see the best girls in the series, Touko, Saito, and Kanna appear. Bump of Chicken once again not making a bad song. If only the anime was like this.

Watching this video, I find myself hoping that if there's ever another sequel made to FLCL, they have Rie Matsumoto direct it.

Really think they should look into making a pokemon anime that wasn't specifically aimed at kids. Maybe following adults that have pokemon related job (not blood and sex, but explore more adult theme). Like say following a group of people in a town that have to deal with pokemon shenanigan happening in their town every weeks, no catastrophe or anything like that. Everyone who got into pokemon when they were a kid are adult now but the anime (and games) have barely changed over the last two decades. Still feel like pokemon is one of the most underuse IP.

Oh god, my nostalgia. I had to keep repeating bits so that I would not miss anything, like all the details, such as over a span 10 seconds it goes over all the gym leaders/Elite Four/Trial captains, grouped by their types. Took me several tries to find the dark types, who are kind of sneakily put in around the border when it transitions from Ghost types to Bug Types.

Bump of Chickens songs always ooze this feeling of nostalgia, but mixing all the nostalgic designs of iconic Pokémon elements. And I thought that the I Choose You movie and Origins and Generations shorts were peak nostalgia. I love it. Even made the Sword and Shield stuff feel nostalgia. I am going to need to watch several breakdowns, because the references come so fast (although I am sure that I understand each one).

I am going to be peak geek fanboy, and talk about an element of why this franchise has stuck with me so much as an element of celebrating characters of all kinds, this video is saying to just let your freak flag fly, the franchise part in expression.

Alright, I need to get back to Shield to finish the things I left undone.
