Not surprised to see this series get an anime. What does surprise me is it beat Tomodachi no Imouto ga Ore ni Dake Uzai to the punch.

This show will likely be immediately polarizing unless they tone down the protagonist who comes across as an incel in the first volume. The rest of the cast doesn't fare much better as the story progresses. Watching how viewers react to this will be delicious.

Childhood friend is my favorite character type ( because I have one and she is my current and only sweetheart ever) and this novel became my must read last year due to its sheer amount of fun and insanity ( that’s a heavy praise, mind you)

If the title sounds too long, you can remember this show as Backstabbing: The Anime Cool

Idk how I feel about this one getting adapted. It's a bit eclectic for the sake of drama.

It's extremely accurate regardless what happens later in the novel. Yes, as you may have guessed it, there is a catch in the premise: spoiler[All three girls shown so far are childhood friends to our protagonist.]

The series started 15-16 months ago and already has an anime announcement? I don't know what the record is between a LN series has its first vol. published and an anime announcement, but "Osa ga Zettai" is definitely a candidate.

Childhood friend fans rejoice!

Now if only they threw in Ai Kayano and then it would be the perfect Matsuoka Harem show.

Well...that does kinda kill my hype for this series. Laughing

I think the only anime I've seen where the childhood friend wins is Love, Elections, and Chocolate...

Omg yes that's part of the reason I stopped reading Shojo and switched to BL (where the childhood friend almost always wins! unless he's a creeper)
