It probably will working well just like any romance manga-to-live-action out there.

After all, at least there are more than 50 live-action adaptation for romance genre every year. They already understand how to do things properly.

I fear they will use 20+ year idols again to play middle-schoolers.

The 30yr olds playing high schoolers in the live-action Komi was traumatizing.
