Considering what CR pulled with the Tower of God actors for the game, I don't blame Marin at all for not wanting to work with CR anymore. If I was in their position, I probably wouldn't want to continue working with CR either in light of all the bullshit they've been doing.

Seriously, do you think CR would have done this had Funimation never bought them from AT&T's TimeWarner/whatever they were called?

People were calling that out, is there proof, is it just VAs complaining about things? After all the BS with Bayonetta 3 last year, I take everything a VA says with a grain of salt now. Let alone just ones who do bit parts at best.

What proof do you even need for this? What even is your definition of proof in this case? Laura Post consulted several reputable lawyers about the contracts she signed and all of them have confirmed that there is nothing in said contracts that allows Crunchyroll to do what they did to the ToG cast for the game. Hell, CR flat-out recast Kyle McCarley in Mob Psycho season 3 because they didn't want to deal with union rates, which several other actors and even engineers have flat-out confirmed! This isn't CR's first time screwing people over. Why are you even so convinced that these people are just making drama for the sake of it? Last I checked, you're not exactly involved in the VA business, now are you?

Are you involved in the industry? Im not saying that CR is perfect, far from it. But as time has told there have been so many people claiming allegations in recent memory and more turn out to be false than not. Remember all the stuff with Bayonetta as i mentioned or god forbid how everyone bashed Damian Mills and within the span of a week it turned out that the person accused him, lied for attention? Maybe wait for more details yeah?

Dude, you're the one here who is champing at the bit to accuse VAs of lying when CR has a known history of treating their VAs poorly. I'm sure that if she's lying, CR will be quick to issue a statement to the contrary -- just like Platinum Games did with regards to Hellena Taylor -- so maybe wait for more details yeah?

That is why we proposed a TX Voice Actor Strike in Protest Against Sony. All TX English Voice Actors Should Not Be Working With CR after they’ve been treated so poorly.

Which is why OkraTron 5000, Sound Cadence Studios, Studio Nano, and Kocha Sound uses much of the voice talents from California, New York and Canada. Just Like Bang Zoom, Iyuno, NYAV and VSI are also Union Companies.

And once every TX voice actors went on strike just like the writers strike, they will have to stay home to record their lines in their houses. As well as relocating VAs to other studios where they uses much of the VA from California, New York and Canada.

Which is why TX Voice Actors Say #JustAMeeting

Kyle McCarley, Laura Post and now Marin Miller. It's so pathetic of Crunchy to not treat (and compensate) these people fairly. I hope they'll get their shit together one day, but it's a big corporation now so I doubt it.

I wish the best to all the people affected by Crunchy's BS. Please be well.

I see no reason to give Crunchyroll the benefit of the doubt when they have a history of doing this kind of stuff. The Helena Taylor situation is irrelevant

I'm sure some people called it out, but like the Kyle Cardine and Union thing and it's a very small group of people and most average anime watchers aren't going to care about this kind of stuff, one because this doesn't affect sub watchers, and two because even for people who watch dubs they probably don't care that much about voice actors given how often recasts happen. To call this some kind of protest or boycott is very generous, especially for a very minor role like Kage's mom. The main cast seems to be returning at the very least so it's probably not a very strong attempt to protest anything unless everyone quits, or at least the main actors.

I don't think any of these will ever work because actors need their anime roles far more than companies need specific actors for those roles, as the old Persona 3 English cast just found out. There's always new faces ready to step up and take on the roles.

I think Marin still could return in CR future dubs if it was being outsourced by ANIPLEX just like Ben Diskin, he decline to return as skeptic in MHA S6 after Mob Kyle controversy and now Ben was in MASHLE dub.

Anairis Quinones, Faye Mata also speak against CR but yet they still appear/reprise their role in CR like in Iruma kun s3, Kuma kuma kuma bear punch, or just look at the english dub cast of bungo dogs s4, berserk memorial edition and Konosuba Megumin Spinoff they still use LA Va's

If LA VA want more anime dubbing gig, i think the licensor and dubbing companies like Netflix, ANIPLEX, VIZ, Righstuff and Discotek should dub more anime for them, the LA Talent. there's lots of other great anime that didn't get dubbed.

You say that like it's something they can just up and automatically can do.

Thing is, nearly all of the Texas VAs have the most to lose if they try going on strike, Kyle explicitly mentioned this during the Mob controversy. For most of these actors, they don't have the same freedoms as the LA, Canadian, or New York pools, as outside of SMITE, the occasionally Texas-produced video game title like Borderlands or RWBY, Crunchy's dubs are pretty much all they have outside of the odd Sentai dub. Especially for newcomers. Sure there are exceptions (Sound Cadence's dubs cast actors from pretty much all regions, even North Carolina on occasion), but those are the exceptions, not the rule. 9 times out of 10 these days, CR's making the dubs themselves, and be damned if they're going to let an industry vet like Sabat speak his mind against him lest they try and blacklist him. Same with literally any other actor. As much as I would like to see a VA boycott from CR's biggest dubbing pool, that ain't going to happen any time soon.

Sure we could start seeing more Dallas VAs in Sentai works, as the Funi/CR pool is pretty much fluid with theirs, or even go Union/Fi-Core LA, but losing Crunchy would be a huge blow regardless.

I can't believe people are still taking Platinum Games side, they screwed over a VA but we are supposed to be on their side just she hadn't told the full story.
