Sasha and Dessler associates great!
Akira hasn’t been in ANY trailers or teasers at all except for once in the second trailer in the second part. I don’t want her to be killed off. That’s why my heart has been pounding every time I see updates on 3199.

I'm definitely not expecting Akira to kick the bucket any time soon, but I guess we'll see.
Still not really sure how I feel about this whole release format. I guess it's cool that it enables them to really ramp up the animation quality, but especially with such a long "series," the wait in-between entries is just way, way too long.

Akira had so many close calls throughout 2199 and 2202. She was presumed dead in the near end of 2202 but was found alive in the ship when it was teleported out of nowhere(thank goodness she survived.) She has enough close calls and needs to be free from death. She’s just getting started as the leader of the pilots and 2205 was only 8 episodes. Melda and Akira in 2205 was awesome and 8 episodes is not enough at all. Akira has been doing silly moments with the pilots ever since 2205 as well and it’ll be stupid writing if they killed off Akira. 3199 so far is the second best part of the series but it’ll automatically be the worst if they kill off Akira. She is also super popular for a Yamato character, is the number one eye catcher and made quite a bit of money from her character with figures, posters and promotions. So what’s the point of doing it? If they considered it, why did let her survive season 2 unlike her predecessor? Why did they made her the leader of the pilots? Why did they even made 2205, Akira Spin Off manga or EVEN Melda Dietz in the first place?
Also I agree about 6 months wait being a pain.

What I think is most interesting is the fact that the female Akira Yamamoto has a much bigger role in the remakes and is more popular than the original male Akira Yamamoto of the original series and Yamato 2. Plus, she gets to survive the second series, unlike the original character did.

Absolutely true but she has been getting less and less screen time ever since 2202. Right now in 3199, she has less screen time than ever before. Less than 95% of the characters. They’re mixing characters left and right and have scenes in Earth. It’ll be stupid and outrageous if they kill off Akira. I’m expecting Melda to be appeared in the distant future. I’m worried about Kaoru and Yuria since they haven’t appeared in a little while. She has so much more to offer and I think it’ll be best if Akira gets a spin off series with her as the main character and Melda as her partner. I hope Kaoru, Yuria, Mikage, Miki and Yuria survives as well.
