This one hurts. I have some friends who really love her work, and it's such a shame that what little we've gotten of it in English is long out of print. Am grateful Nananan and her family's wishes were respected at least, and I hope that she is remembered fondly as one of the greats of josei manga.

Awful news. I love everything that I've read of Kiriko Nananan's work, and it's a shame that so little of it properly exists in English—really wish more of it would be licensed. Second OtomeGay about respecting her and her family's wishes, and remember her as one of the best josei artists (and manga-ka in general).
