I'm really looking forward to this.
I remember MAO caught my eye when Takahashi first started serializing it, but I never got around to giving it a proper read. At the time I figured it'd probably get an anime at some point anyway.
It took a while, but glad it's finally here!

Nice-looking animation, great color choices and fitting voice cast. I was kinda worried about Yuki Kaji because I find his regular voice overused and unfitting for how I imagined Mao to sound like, but he's putting on a much deeper voice that works well. It's taken a long time but it's here at last.

It's interesting to follow weekly but it's also the kind of series that benefits from binge-reading or from the quicker pace of an anime adaptation because the core mystery is a giant tangled web that asks you to remember a lot over months and years. I've had to go back and check old details a lot to keep everything straight in my mind. The anime starting with two consecutive cours is a huge benefit to newcomers because it will allow them to experience a big chunk of the story at a quick enough pace not to forget anything.

Missed opportunity not to cast M.A.O. as someone.

Heh, that premise sounds pretty familiar.

Two cours is great to hear! I hope this season adapts up to chapter 90, spoiler[Yurako's backstory] would make for a really strong ending point.
