Mob Psycho is so underrated. At least a single studio animated the whole series, unlike poor One-Punch Man. That kind of perspective just makes the former feel so much more like a gem. I need to give Mob a re-watch, now.
Too bad they couldn't do a director's cut of this episode. Reigen is hilarious.

I have to wonder if that truly benefited the show or not. The first season was incredible, the second season was pretty good too, but the finale of the show was... not exactly bad, but not on par with what came before, story-wise. So I wonder if the legacy of the show would shine brighter if less seasons had been made. (Obviously though, the situation is not even close to being as bad as what's happening to One Punch Man right now.)

I actually never finished S3. I had like, 3 or 4 episodes left, but life threw some curve balls at me when those episodes were still airing, and I never went back to catch up.
I've never read the manga, but there were aspects of Mob's character growth in the anime that I really liked a lot. At this point, I should probably go back and just binge the whole thing.

Season 3 was solid, and it completed adapting the original manga. I would definitely consider the consistency of the same studio a blessing for this reason, which I would imagine also reflects a more stable production environment. I hope history will remember Mob Psycho 100 as the greater ONE story of the two, because it deserves that.
Anyway, I appreciate the rundown of the panel. Behind-the-scenes discussions like these are part of what makes anime (and filmmaking in general) so fascinating.
