Ok now in the last episode of cowboy bebop (episode 26), at the end where spike is on the stairs and he says "Bang" then falls. Now is he spoiler[completely dead or just like passed out]? I haven't seen the whole series yet though.

[EDIT - Spoiler tags added. -C]

Short, sweet, and the absolute truth. Also demonstrates proper usage of spoiler tags, something of which is sorely lacking from the first post.

Personally I think you should have seen the whole series first. (IMO) It’s the best anime series out there. And yes, your question was answered already.

I actually don't think he's dead. I'm willing to bet that this summer there will be a big announcement from Bones saying that their making a new Bebop OVA series or something.

If Bebop was going to be continued, it probably would have been done by now.

I think if they made an OAV or anything, it would be some sort of filler series that would occur sometime in the middle of the Cowboy Bebop series. I don't think it would be a continuation. The ending was perfect. Leave it that way...

I think its a pretty safe bet that he is. spoiler[He gets trounced in the last ep, probably more than any other time in the series.]

This pic is kinda spoilery: http://www.angelfire.com/anime5/swordfish/bebop26.JPG

spoiler[It looks like when he was walking down the stairs, he was trying to keep his inards in.]

I totally agree with you. Cowboy Bebop's ending is probably my favorite in that it actually ends the series and ties up most of the loose ends. You don't really see that in a lot of other anime.

I would loose a lot of respect for Bones and all the other people that made the show if they did that.

BUT, if they went ahead and made another show in the CB universe that would be MUCH better.

Agreed - the Cowboy Bebop universe is very big and they did alot of sketching out of how it all played together; but there is still lot that they never went into much detail about that would make for an excelent spin-off, or even an OVA or two.

But what would it cover? You can't really do another bounty hunter group. Otherwise, it's just copying the last series. Would a comedy or romance work? Anime dazed
