Oh, thank heavens!

Y'all have no idea how relieved I am that animated shows about the fate of the world being decided by children's card games shall continue to air in a butchered, heavily-altered format.

Ah Kamen Rider, I thought that series lost its popularity after the 1990's. About a week ago, I was discusing that show with a long time friend of mine though.

4kids, you buchered One Piece, made a mockery of Shaman King and edited material in shows that isn't even offensive. (I.E. the rice balls in One Piece and several other food items.)

Makes me wonder how many more years this company will have after Yu-Gi-Oh ends though.

Yu-Gi-Oh! isn't their cashcow anymore. Chaotic is. They probably hope that (despite no envolvement) Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight, and the upcomming Rollbots can become some new cashcows, along with a resurgence of the TMNT, who's show is too good for a Saturday morning show to be canceled.

Heck, Dinosaur King actually surprised them at how well the show is doing in ratings. As it was timeslot filler, and not something they thought would be popular, hence the lack of a card game (it's coming though), and extensive product lines(a video game is out though).

They're starting from episode one. Sonic X has only aired on FOX, so it's probably a good idea to start from the beginning on The CW so new viewers aren't confused. But you can watch all the dubbed episodes for free (and legally) at 4KidsTV.com.

There's also Huntik. That show is what I'm personally looking forward to the most.

To be honest, I am glad that Kirby has bitten the dust. No offense, but it was a horrible show! The main character can't even talk!

Masahiro Sakurai (Kirby's creator) intentionally wanted to keep him this way.

I am not surprized Yu-Gi-Oh isn't the cashcow anymore. I would have figured Poke'mon would actually be the revenue source, but times have certainly changed. As for Kamen Rider: I wonder how many viewers even know the offical English translation to that show? I watched a couple of episodes over a decade ago, so I wonder how the series changed.

Out of every 4kids show though, Kirby was probably the only show that wasn't butchered or heavily edited as others. I only had watched maybe four episodes total, but the series didn't look as edited as other shows.

Well, Kirby is aimed at kids more than, say, Shaman King or Ultimate Muscle. There wasn't much to edit, I guess.

I didn't think Kirby was that bad of a show. Sure, the plots may had been severely overblown and Dedede had a questionable southern hick accent, but it was pretty fun for the most part and all of our favorite characters really played off of one another.

The only episode I distinctly recall being edited was the animation festival episode where Dedede wanted to make his own opening for the show and 4Kids had to work around to make that opening fit the jazzy opening of the English version. The original Japanese opening of Kirby was cutesy circus theme.

One of the above posters mentioned Huntik, yeah?

...Is it wrong of me to think this show looks interesting and that they FINALLY got the Amerime thing right?

Confession: when I first saw the trailer, I thought it was a Japanese production. That's never happened to me with an Amerime before.

as a huge fan of he Kirby games, the anime was alright, but could have been better, but I loved how they mixed elements from Kirby Super Star(SNES) and Kirby's Adventure (NES), the english dub sucked in my opinion dued to changing the music, trust me,the japanese version of the anime had remixed songs from the Kirby games. Very Happyspoiler[like during the final 4 episodes,Kirby and his pals used Meta Knights Halberd battle ship from Kirby Super Star's Revenge of Meta Knight to fight the Cloaked Nightmare(the final Boss from Kirby's Adventure for the NES] and also,in my honest opinion,I was hoping they would continue the Kirby anime to adapt arcs from Future Kirby games, because at least with the Kirby anime had unique episodes at one point unlike Pokemon*Cough*
