Raw feed or subtitled? Because if I want a raw feed, there are other opportunities available to me.

I would assume it'd be subbed - I honestly don't see much of a reason for FUNi to stream something that a majority of its intended viewers won't be able to understand.

In any case, this is good news. I will likely watch it through them for the most part.

At least this gives me a chance to check this one out. I had no intention of downloading a show that I'm not entirely excited about. However, with a legal means of viewing I'll be willing to give this new one a chance, even if I find it unnecessary.

Awesome. I figured if R4 was getting it, there was a good chance R1 would as well.

Awesome! I'm very glad to hear that FUNimation is on the ball with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Waiting four days to watch it legally isn't a bad trade-off at all. FUNi's video quality is quite good on their free video portal, which is where I would assume they'll be make FMA II available.

So, FUNi has it. That's the announcement we've all been waiting for, but we all know was coming. Very exciting stuff, indeed . . . .

If only I could share in you excitement. I still wish death upon Bones for having the audacity to make "Fullmetal Ultimate".

Curse you, Bones! Why not leave well enough alone? Please? Pretty please?

first episode free is nice but waiting a week to get decent quality is a no deal...they still need a lot more anime to get my money. Still better ways to watch anime faster, at better quality.

Who do you think Funimation are? Everyone else other than Funimation? At the very least, the UK will get to see this. because Funimation actauly realise America is not the whole of the world.

I do find it rather interesting that Funimation will be showing the new FMA on its site when it hasn't even officially announced that it's acquired the show. I guess that the fact that they're putting subs of it on their site pretty much says that they have licensed the show, but I suppose that they could have technically just made an agreement to be able to stream it and haven't actually licensed it for dubbing (though I expect that they've licensed it the whole way).

In any case, I would have expected an announcement about FMA being licensed before an announcement about it streaming on Funimation's site.

It's going to be English subbed. It was mentioned in an earlier article that the Australian Simulcast will be showing the anime on it's Madman Entertainment website in Japanese with English subs. I'd assume these are going to be the same subs that Funi will be using.
