The complete collection seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. Is it out of print, End of Evangelion style?
Viz still seem to acknowledge its existence, but all the places I've tried either report nothing or (upon placing an order) haven't managed to obtain it.
Is it best I give up the search?

I searched Amazon and got something, but the odds of getting it new at an afordable price seem low. I've heard that people trust second spin (who is one of the amazon sellers), but I've never tried them myself.
I lucked out and found it used (no CD Crying or Very sad) at Gamestop when they were getting rid of their DVDs, and plan to spread the awsomeness of this series during Winter session!

It seems like the entire Viz catalogue outside of Bleach/Naruto/Death Note/Inuyasha/Pokemon/Busou Renkin/HxH and maybe SaiKano is either out-of-print or on the way there.

^You forgot Ranma 1/2. Wink

Yeah, Viz sucks. Of course, that's no new news, but it's still extremely disappointing that everything that isn't a huge Shonen title gets treated like crap. And even so, they still don't give their big titles proper treatment. I really wish that they would get their act together.

I've used SecondSpin many a time and had absolutely no problems with them. They are a great place to get used merchandise in good condition cheap.

As for Key if you have an FYE near you look there. I got my singles there. If you can find them new they're usually marked down to $9.99 and ocasionally used copies will pop up.

If you can't find them in a store you can always get them at FYE's online store.

I suppose you chaps are right. Singles are the way to go.
Fortunately for me, Amazon UK lists US Marketplace products in my own currency, and only charges the domestic shipping amount.
I've just ordered one volume new, and the other two used.
