Madlax isn't even OOP, and the current version of the collection goes for $62 at full retail! What the hell is ADV doing? They don't have the money to waste on reissues of items that are still easily acquired.

I'm kind of wondering what this strategy is myself. I mean, most of these sets are still out from the last time they were released. I doubt they're selling out so what's with the new re-re-releases? (Though maybe they are trying different box art to entice people repelled by previous box art? Thought that seems a little odd.)

Seems kind of like a move of desperation to me.

One of the theories going around is that the licenses for some of these titles might be expiring soon, so ADV wants to make as much money as possible while the license still lasts. Just speculation, of course.
