I hope it's gonna be released in UK soon after those countries listed, and i hope it preforms successfully and highlights anime as good rather than its bad image it has in UK

I would expect it to do extremly well in the UK mainly because the novel it's based on is from a wellknown fantasy author of that origin.

who else thinks we owe the japanese an apology for showing Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow in their country?
12.1 million in the second weekend. That's pretty damn good considering the box office. |

I haven't seen Sky Captain but I hear it has good visuals, the only thing I would ever expect to get out of a Hollywood film. Maybe I am just too much of a sucker for retro 30s futuristic style.
What we really need to owe the Japanese an apology for showing is Pearl Harbor. You have the political/WWII issues, and even aside from that, I hear it was pretty bad. The effects for instance. Anyway, hopefully somewhere it will get shown subbed in USA. I haven't liked Ghibli dubs despite their fame. |
