Not really. Azone has done 1:3 scale dolls before, and considering the cash cow PMMM is, this isn't a surprise.

There already are 1/1 scale figures, and yes, they're for several thousand dollars.

If you have more than a few figures, the larger ones are hard to display. At 1/3 you can set this on the floor in a corner, but you will soon run out of corners unless this is the only show you ever get that excited about.
I find 1/6 a bit large and prefer 1/8.
