Ah, whatever. From what I've been told, the show itself is just a cute kid's show. Yet surely, someone must have pointed out this could tarnish the franchise's reputation a little in some people's eyes?

Yet your avg. Precure fan (who pays $100.00 US for a bottom bed sheet) is an 18-40 year-old male. And no, I'm not going to make the obvious Stainmaster/Scotchgaurd joke.
1) Can't most anime be described as "just a cute kid's show," yet that doesn't stop the pervs. 2) From what I've seen of our Wacky Neighbor across the Pacific, I think they're more interested in acquiring (Read: Milking) as much $ as possible from said fans, rather than any possible tarnish to their reputation (See: 18-40 year-old Male Otaku Fanbase). 3) The $100 dollar price tag for a cheap cotton bottom sheet kinda tips their hat that they aren't marketing this for the show's "intended" girl audience. Again, not worried about any tarnish. |

Well, yeah. People will whack off to anything, but there's a difference between accepting that and pandering to it. Points 2) and 3) you're probably right, but it's nice to imagine that at least someone said 'Hold on a minute now...'
