This might be the wrong place for this topic, but does anyone know why Death Note is a trending topic on twitter? Did something important happen that I just can't seem to find on the internet? It seems to have something to do with the Hollywood live action film, but like I said, I'm having trouble finding any reliable sources on it.

I tried that initially, but most of the tweets were in different languages. Anyways, it seems that the trending was prompted by the announcement that Shane Black will be directing the movie, which was announced on this site a couple of days ago. I guess the trending is just a delayed reaction. Here's to hoping it won't be another DB Evolution!
