go on over to:
http://www.sterkinekor.com/site.php & click 'cinema nouveau' (right side of page) & then click film festivals... then, bottom left, click 'japanese film festival' it'll give u screening times for all shows at the festival... the japanese embassy (in south africa) in association with Ster-Kinekor cinema's are hosting yet another japanese film festival in 3 cities across the country: Pretoria, Cape Town & Johannesburg!!! pity it doesnt happen as often as most anime fans in south africa would like  even though there's such a huge anime-following community down here!!!
need to get a petition going sometime for some anime movies they still need to screen on our side of the globe! 
would love to see these on the big screen here in South Africa: 5 cm per second Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho Summer Wars rebuild of Evangelion 1 & 2 (& the rest when they get released) Gintama: Shinyaku Benizakura-Hen also, would love to see that new live-action Space Battleship Yamato movie here on the big screen in SA!!! have u guys seen the 2 trailers online at the official Space Battleship Yamato site! freekin' EPIC!!! check them out here: http://yamato-movie.net/movie.html hope this post was helpful to some... regards marco |
