Tokyopop shipped an advance copy of Beck volume 1 to a comicreaders.com manga reviewer. You can check out the review here.

I believe volume 1 officially ships in June 2005.

Nice review, but I wouldn't necessarily classify it along the lines of I's or video girl ai although the first few volumes probably misleadingly give off that kind of vibe as to what the manga is going to be like.
