Yen Press is publishing the english edition http://www.yenpress.com/highschool-of-the-dead/ and there's a schedule on their website for when the volumes will be published- Vol.5 is listed for January 2012 for example. They'd be the one to contact about publication dates, as they have the license for the english North American markets.
ANN doesn't publish any manga, they just report news, do reviews and have a great encyclopedia that's useful for info about releases. |

gonna be a while before the yen press release catches up, I read a bunch of the manga when the anime aired and decided that i liked the series so i stoped reading it so that its all new to me when i buy it.
Id do the same with one pice but i cant bring myself to stop |

I like the idea of a zombie manga but I read somewhere that there is fan service on pretty much every page. It doesn't do anything for me so when it is done to excess, it irritates me.
Can any of you clarify whether it is too much? |

Its fanservice heavy i'll admit, the artist has come from doing ero manga i belive but its not every page and there is alot of story in there too.
Its not the kind of book you wanna leave lying about if you're easily embarassed i'll put it that way. |

There's a ton of it in both the manga and anime, but it's not as noticeable in the manga. In the anime, the fan-service is constantly in your face, to the point where it actually becomes distracting at times. I still reallyenjoyed the series, though, even with some of the fan-service silliness and ludicrous body proportions (all the girls have gigantic boobs). It's best to think of it as basically a Zombie Movie in episode/chapter format - don't take it too seriously. |

I personally don't mind the fan service, which is saying a lot since I usually hate fan service with a passion. The story and gore makes up for it.

Given that I don't have a baseline for what level of fanservice you find tolerable, it's hard to say. Probably yes, though. |

I may wait until I see it in a book store then so I can see for myself before I buy it. Knowing my luck it will be sealed.
If it doesn't take away from the rest of the story, then I will probably be able to ignore it. Thanks for you opinions |
