I am considering buying the Japanese language version of this classic anime. However, what DVD features are on it?

Why don't you just buy the R1 version?
Also, you shouldn't be concerned with DVD extras. They're just a bonus. You should be buying it for the show. |

According to Amazon the Deluxe Edition includes trailers, A Yas still frame archive, a character/setting archive and an 8 page booklet. Hardly enough to make it a "deluxe version" in my opinion, but it is mastered by Geneon, so it's image/audio quality should be pretty good. I've considered buying this too, since I'm a huge Yas fan.

This is in regards to the r2 version released about five years ago at amazon.co.jp as requested. It looks like the R2 Banner of the Stars DVD has audio commentary for those interested. Very tempting, but so expensive.

Sigh! I was confused that this classics was really released on DVD. Hopefully someone will be interested to release this Greek Mythology on DVD.
