Knowing that Murata is involved, I know it's going to have awesome quality designs. I just wonder how much creative control he has like when he was working on Last Exile. The man has a good eye for detail.
After looking at the Robot interview (Vol. 2 is released today!) it reminded me of how other Japanese illustrators and designers approach these 3D elements in animation. I've noticed most of them were little hesitant if not unsure (I don't blame since they either hinder the flow or add beauty to the over-all look), but I'm glad they're finally pulling through now and this new show looks promising enough.

What is the show about? Is it like mecha sci-fi or like Cowboy Bebop sci-fi? well i think they should do a good job on it because GANKUTSUOU is really good !

So what, are they going to create an anime for every 5 years of existence?... IIRC Last Exile was their 10th anniversary production... This better be better than LE...
