My favorite anime series that fits that genre is Fruits Basket. (well, I've only seen the first four episodes of the anime--but I own up to volume 8 of the manga.) It's a mix of drama and comedy with a touch of fantasy. All the characters are really well written, too--I can't think of a single character of Fruits Basket that I haven't liked so far.

I prefer the manga to the anime, though...it's nice to be able to take it at your own pace. Still, the anime is done nicely, so it's certainly worth taking a look at. ^^

You'll have to try Fushigi Yugi, it is definitly a Drama/Romance. I think that you'll like it. There are some adult themes to it but, from your list of have seens (haven't seen them myself but heard of them here), you shouldn't have have a propblem.

Another would be Ceres: Celestial Legend Aka Ayashi No Ceres. It was created by the same manga-ka as Fushigi Yugi. Again, adult themes but you should be okay.

You might also try the manga, they go into a little more detail. The Ceres manga is finished here in the States and Fushigi Yugi is one volume away from being finished. Of course, I don't know the status of the mangas in your country, but I recommend reading the manga as well as watching the anime.

Enjoy! I know you find something that you'll like!

If you can deal with the incest, Koi Kaze is excellent. It was rated by some people as the best drama/romance anime of last year.

And Space_cowboy64, it's not true - I am smiling Smile

I've seen about two that caught my attention up until the end.

Saishuu Heiki Kanojo's one; this's utterly and unnecessarily depressing but the innocence and naivety of Shuji and Chise's relationship just makes the viewer feel all the more sorry for them. The second would be Kanon, because for an anime that was based on a hentai dating sim.... the story is so dramatic and serious, and depressing all at once, while by the final scene it is proven that there is indeed hope and new light for the characters. Can't think of others..

It's inevitable that you'll eventually run out of the good titles and be left with the bad ones. I bet every single title mentioned here the original poster has already watched since they're the most common, most often-mentioned titles of this genre.

I suggest you check the top100 or even top500. When I ran out of good things to watch for a specific genre, I spent hours just checking each and every title for a summary and ratings. Usually I end up finding and watching a good series of a different genre, since I don't restrict myself on needing to watch a specific genre at a specific time. Don't expect people to mention mediocre titles here as most people will only remember titles that are worth mentioning as "the best". You can even search by genre, from a site like AnimeNfo, and order them by rating and check to see if you've watched it or not.

Also, maybe the following links will help:
animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=22725
animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=22464
animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21429 (Title of this link: "Best Drama/Romance anime u saw?")

Since I already wrote up a reply, I'll refrain from deleting everything, putting that one link, and saying "Use the Search function". Or wait... ^^

I'll try to reccomend some more relitively unknown titles to you since you seem to have seen most of the popular ones.

Hanbu no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora is a pretty new romance/drama. Rather short, but at the same time there aren't any filler episodes. Although it's very good, it's not exactly a happy story (but you said you've seen SaiKano before so...). Looks like it could be the best drama/romance this year too.

Although not as good as HanTsuki in my opinion (it hasn't finished yet though but it's just about to) Kasimasi - Girl Meets Girl is another new drama/romance you might enjoy. It has more comedy then HanTsuki so if you're looking for something not quite as depressing you can go with it. Just to tell you, the romance involves lesbians.

Those are really the only ones I can think of that you possibly haven't seen. If you haven't seen My-HiME, Da Capo, and Kanon I also recommend them but they're more popular so I'm thinking you may have already seen them.

If you download things, with bittorent, etc. Victorian Romance Emma, or simply Emma, is wonderful. It was one of my favorite shows of last year. The manga was just liscenced too, which is great news. It follows the everyday life and budding romance between a young upperclass gentleman and a maid from another house. It has a lot to do with the issues of class. The depiction of England at the turn of the century is also very well done, much like a good period piece would normally be. Lots of interesting details about life at that time. But yes, in the end the story is really about Emma and William, and their relationship is great. Even got my wife, normally not so interested in anime, to watch it and like it. Smile
