can anyone explain the ending to me.i dont really understand whats happens in the end.did suguru's timeline advance so fast that they could live in space and when he found mahoro again,did he go back into the past or did the creators just wanted to do that?

It's been a while so someone else can clear my errors as they appear.
Suguru aged as a normal person. I'm not sure about the "living in space" part but if it was obviously so then yes, I guess they did advance far enough to live in space. He didn't really "go in the past", that was an illusion or a daydream and because Mahoro was really an android, her "rebirth" allowed her to keep her young form when she returned to Suguru.
