I am looking for a good drama, horror, sci-fi, or action anime with some romance in it. I want one with a good story, some plot twist, and decent voice acting. I don't want any real big anime that has been shown on CN cause I have most likely seen it. I don't want an anime that is too long and starts to put out a bunch of meaningless episodes.(ex.Inuyasha) Some anime that I have enjoyed watch is:

1. Bleach: This is one of my favorite anime. I like the action, the story, the characters, etc.

2. Elfen Lied: For a short anime(I used to dislike short one) it has changed my mind. I enjoyed this one very much after being tempted to buy it. The story and characters are interesting. The blood shed and violence were good and the concept of a loveable and destructive character in one mind was good.

3.Evangelion: This anime changed my dislike for mechas. I enjoy watching it. I find it interesting try to guess what is all happening. I have no finished it yet but from what I have watched I have been glued to my seat watching it.

4. Fullmetal Alchemist: When I first seen this anime I looked at it and said "that is not worth watching" but then I decided to watch it. I saw the third episodes and then after that I was hooked. I enjoyed the story, the characters, plot, and all the twists. This anime became one of my favorites after finishing it and I cannot wait to see the movie.

Drama anime: Fruits Basket. It has romamce, humor, original plots and storylines, very enjoyable. 26 episodes.

Hard to say if you've seen these or not, but here goes.
Voice-acting: in general I don't pay that much attention to it, unless a voice really bugs me. Typically watch with subtitles on to avoid potentially bad English versions though.

Full Metal Panic: action, some romance and really good. Might want to avoid Fumoffu, however I enjoyed that as well (it's an action/comedy/romance). Does have Mechs, just not every episode, but most of them. English voice actors were pretty good IMO.

Gantz: For some reason I tie this to Elfen Lied, could be the violence aspect. Not a whole lot of romance though. A very good story, just sucked me in.

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (AKA Rumbling Hearts): Romance Drama. Many consider this one of the best out there.

Air: Took a couple episodes to get into it, but was funny to start, then got wierd, and ended up pretty sad.

RahXephon: Some say this is better then Evangelion, but I can't say since I haven't finished Evangelion.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: it's dark, kind of creepy and I've only seen 3 episodes. I'm so hooked.

Sorry if I just hashed stuff you've already seen.

Also Fruits Basket is good.

Kanon: Predecessor of Air. Adapted from a visual-novel game of the same name, it takes place in a snow setting. Has some fantasy elements to it, and it is pretty heavy on romance as well. GREAT voice acting (Nayuki's voice is just...awesome). The major flaw I find is the lackluster animation (which will probably improve big-time in the 2006 Kyo-ani remake). Besides that, a great series.

Saishuu Heiki Kanojo (Saikano): Sci-fi, romance, and very intense drama. Takes place in a futuristic Japan at war with other countries, and some incredibly sad but powerful scenes throughout the series. A great story with plot twists galore.

Shakugan no SHANA: It actually reminded me of the early episodes of Bleach, but to me, a lot more exciting. A good premise, good story, GREAT music (as expected from Ootani Kou), good animation, quite a bit of romance, and good voice acting as well. Plus, Shana is lolilicious Very Happy

Kiddy Grade: Not my cup of tea, actually, but it was pretty exciting toward the middle. There's filler and silly episodes for a while, but then comes an exciting arc with a lot of plot twists and action. A fascinating world complemented by amazing animation, and some attractive main characters to go along with it. Lacking in romance, though.

Uchuu no Stellvia: Good sci-fi, basically about a girl who goes to Space Academy. Happy, fun episodes at first, but then you can expect an exciting story with plot twists. Plus, the main characters are more mature than your average schoolkid anime hero. Animation might take some getting used to, though (with the wide necks and all).

Zettai Shounen: It moves slow and nothing really "exciting" happens throughout the series, but for those who can enjoy slow-paced anime, this is an intriguing anime. The romance is there, and plot twists as well.

Hey thanks all of you. I will check out theses animes. Also one correction to my statement, any anime you suggest me does not need to have romance in it. If it does that is a plus but I don't mind if it has none. Also I have seen Fruits Basket. I forgot to put it down in my listed group cause I enjoyed it. If anone else has any more suggestion I would be most happy if you could tell me them.
