Unsure about the Earthquake enquiry, but I can direct you to-
animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/lexicon.php Should give you a rundown on the more common terms and phrases used in Anime and Fandom. |

As for your question about anime/manga/game about earthquakes, anime wise there's Doomed Megalopolis There some sex scenes, but it's not full blown Henai/Snuf film. Manga I'm not sure of, as for games... why? Why earthquakes?

I'm looking into this for a film director, so I can't tell you why earthquakes -because I don't really know yet.
Just started this internship 5days ago so I'm not filled in on detailes yet... Thanks for the info about the film! -Luna |

The only one I can find that deals with real historical earthquakes is "Mari and Shingo" ("Mari to Shingo"), a bishounen manga by Kihara Toshie. It appeared in Hana to Yume magazine from 1979-1984, and was published by Hakusensha in 13 tankoubon. The Kanto Earthquake of 1923 occurs during the story.

For manga/anime coverage of a more recent non-fictional earthquake, there's the Kobe earthquake of 1995, which has been dealt with in the one-shot manga Tomorrow ~Until it changes to fondness~ by Orihara Mito.

A spirit of the Sun deals with a fictional earthquake that nearly destroys Japan, breaking it in half.

You can also look into the movie Demon City Shinjuki. This is pure fiction about a city that suffers a catastrophic, and decends into a hell like state.
Now as to games I beleive there is one comeing out for the Wii when it launches called disaster. The premise from what I understand is as you go about the story you have to deal with one natural disaster after another. |

In SaiKano, there's an earthquake later on in the series that has significant impact on the plot. Obviously, it's not a real one by any means. One thing I've noticed is that anime (and probably Japanese entertainment in general) tends to shy away from things that are "too real" in terms of shocking/dramatic events. For instance, the second episode of Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu wasn't aired on TV because there had been a recent child kidnapping case all over the news.

There was a live-action film/TV show that dealt with an earthquake destroying most of Tokyo. The name escapes me right now....
