watching it for the first time, currently on episode 6, and i can say this is stuff is funny as hell. However, Vash doesn't seem very anime-like to me, and reminds me more of a character that would be found in an American cartoon, is he based on a Loony Toon or something? He constantly is reminding me of one with his crazy outbreaks.
Also currently seems like he's a pacifist usually, does this change later in the series? |

Umm do you want me to spoil the series? Anyways here a thread I started not to long ago if you want my feelings on this series. As for your question about Vash being a pacifist......spoiler through the end of the series. If you don't want to ruin the series don't read...spoiler[Vash stick with his pacifist nature throughtout the series, and the whole pacifistideal of series turn me off in the end. ] Till I had a had a good time with the series, and don't regret watching it. |

Well, I just wanted a yes/no cause I was wondering if there was gonna be more real violence as action later in. Skipping your spoiler for now Also after watching 6, I'm confused on the fact...Vash doesn't age? guess that'll be explained later too, can't wait edit; I noticed in your thread that his cloak and hair reminds you of Ed, personally didn't notice that, I thought Alucard myself cause of the glasses and red coat D: |

Yeah the series does have a lot of question that will be answered in do time, but Trigun also suffers from Berserk cause......From most folks I talk to say Trigun manga is really good, and that the anime really isn't a great adaptation. |

I don't think so....it's like FMA where the story starts close to manga but then branches off once it catches up. |

It is one of thouse shows that I can't stand. However a friend of mine has built a religion arround it proclaiming it to be the best anime ever created.
The fact is that it is not that great of a show, The charcters are not interesting, The plot is full of holes and the animation is god awful. I can't even begin to go into Vash's Charcter because there isint one, he's just a zany poorly written charcter. Also there is no humor in the show, it is not funny, atleat to me. This is just my opinon, please don't flame the living crap out of me because I have offended you little show. |

Not only do I disagree with you on all of that, I also don't see where you're coming from. You gave no examples. Seems to me like you want to be flamed. |

I love Trigun, though it's not one of my favourite series. But it is the reason I'm into anime right now and so will always hold a special place in my heart. I don't find there to be many plotholes (though the ending is somewhat open-ended, though there is still plenty resolution) or bad animation (though it's not as nice as it could be) and certainly I felt that Vash was a very well-developed character, though you have to see the whole series to get that. So I definitely don't understand where ryujin jakka is coming from, but everyone's free to their own tastes and opinions. And clearly you're already enjoying the series so I expect that you'll keep liking it throughout.
Anyway, as for the pacifist thing, that is a constant theme of the series, so don't expect it to go away anytime soon (though there are of course other characters around to provide the daily intake of violence). |

I can understand how people would dissagree with me. However I can't see how someone could dissagree about the animation being Horrid, Episodes 13, 14, 15. Spring to mind as the Worst animated anime episodes I have ever seen. The charcters are not interesting, Vash's "humor" if it can even be called that, is Extreamly bland. He acts more Retarded than funny for a good 58% of the show, Spends around a dozen episodes whining about not killing and "Love and Peace"! God I would prefer shinji Ikari over him any day. One other thing that gets me about this show is the Cornacopia of Rediclous and God awful villans that show up one after another. Out of the whole Group only spoiler[Monev the gale, and Legato] Were acctually any good. The Ending was not only Opend ended but it gave no conclusion what so ever asid from the fact that spoiler[Vash wins, Big supprise] The Insurance girls are two of the Worst female anime Charcters of all time, as they have absoultly n purpose other than filling up "charcter space". The English dub is really bad, thought it is a hell of alot better than the Japanese Dub. So there that is my opinon![/spoiler] |

I would have to concur that Trigun is quite overrated in the least.
This I agree with, as they are really the only lead female characters in the show but their backgrounds are not explained enough and they really don't contribute much to the development of the story. |

I really do not see why people think this is so great. The series had a copped out ending that resolved nothing. It was a fun watch for a couple of episodes with Vash's super accuracy. The only redeeming about it was Johnny Yong Bosch's portrayal of Vash. He was a corny but fun character. One episode he acts all crazy and oblivious to his surroundings, the next he is serious after spoiler[activating his Angel Arm and destroying a city].
I thought the series was okay. It really does get annoying when I go to conventions and everyone pesters Johnny to do his Vash impression. Johnny is cool with it and shouts out "Love and Peace!" and crosses his fingers like Vash just for the fans. The series was okay and I really do not see what makes it great as everyone makes it to be. |

The VA's were good considering what they had to work with. It's too hard to pull off a good VA with horrible dialogue. The show's good enough to watch all the way through and one may like it better than me. Many do.

Watch xxxHolic Certainly the animation is not wonderful, but I would definitely not classify it as bad. It just had a different style than a lot of the stuff out there. |
