Its looks good, but I'm not so keen on live action. Least it doesn't look as bad as a Hollywood attempt in doing it. *shivers*

Signed up in 2010 and your first comment is about the Patlabor LA?
That said they barely showed enough to consider it terrible one way or another? The only thing there I can think is making you say that is the filtering or lack thereof. It looks like footage straight from a camera. Which really is par for the course with Japanese movies, they use far less filtering generally than Hollywood. I actually prefer it, I find Hollywood films to be so overfiltered and unrealistic.
Honestly I was quite surprised that it looks good. I was expecting some terrible CG. Instead, they seem to be using a combo of real models and CG for the Labors that gives them a much more realistic feeling than the usual purely CG trash.
