They actually made a Sadako 3D 2. Oh dear.... seriously the worst film in the franchise by far.

Yet another sequel sometimes means that you don't really care the issue of continuity/quality (The Land Before Time and Air Bud sequels/spinoffs, anyone?). I think that often having 1-2 sequels should be enough.
When it can really get bad is when a: the first movie didn't do so well; it features little to none of the original cast/staff; and how many years it's been since the last film came out. |

Geez, garbage in garbage out. The Ring never should have gone past the first film. That one is great. Ring 2 was an abomination and this one sounds even worse.

Those other 3 aren't exactly advertisements of talent either. I saw Winter's Tale on some Worst of the Year lists. |
