Some info on what is said, plus a few additional links:
Sophie: Aisaka Yuuka (Tail Blue)
Character Designer: NOCO - Twitter
Prafta: Yuka Iguchi (Index, and many other characters)
Character Designer: YuuGen - Twitter - Pixiv

My understanding as of now is that Prafta is a grimoire that can take on a human form (much like Sora from Trinity Seven), but she has amnesia, and Sophie can make items Prafta to wear through alchemy, so there is some customization.
