I always seem to find a relationship between two friends get stronger through time and adventures. Has there ever been a manga series you read where a pair of friends fall in love with each other but not in the anime series or vice versa? Or maybe both? I really don't know.

I doubt that'd be the case just because the romantic entanglements of any series are pretty much set up at the beginning. If an adaptation left out that part, well, it wouldn't be a very good adaptation, would it?
I will say that the anime of Love Hina doesn't bring spoiler[Naru and Keitaro] together nearly as difinitively as the manga does. |
