I hope that there are no further complications preventing a speedy recovery.
Having had a diverticulum removed at a hospital near home and a twisted section of small intestine (I suspect partly as a result of the first operation) removed in Tokyo, I can state that the hospital food in Japan is better. First solid food post surgery in Tokyo:

That sucks man. I was so looking forward to that cd, but its more inportant for him to get healthy than a stupid concert. This guy as my avatar also got diverticulitis and it almost killed him and it resulted him being out of competition for 2 years so it can be quite brutal. It looks like Pata was on the extreme side like Brock Lesnar was. I can see why everything has been postponed til next year.
